About me!
I'm Meredith, happily married to "A," and the proud, but stressed and often yelling mother of 2nd grade boy/girl twins and a boy in kindergarten. I am also recently diagnosed with breast cancer, which has caused a resurgence in my desire to blog because in my twisted mind, few things are funnier than a prosthetic boob. Thanks for reading and if you want to PM me, I can be found at meredith dot vartuli @gmail.com.Questions? Comments? Observations?

I’ve spent a lot of time over the last several months reminding myself that things could always be worse. That I’ve actually survived much worse. That the cancer and the surgery and the chemo are not the worst things that … Continue reading

I worry that I’m not going through this cancer experience the way I’m supposed to. Cancer survivors always seem to talk about how their lives were changed by their diagnosis, they achieved clarity of purpose and were able to set … Continue reading

In these days leading up to Mother’s Day, I’m struck by a single thought. I’m a crappy mom. There are so many positive affirmations out there this time of year. “Don’t worry, Mom, you’re doing great” commercials and cards, both … Continue reading

1. I have a wonderful relationship with my father, but he’s not a talker. Our usual topics of conversations are my kids, the Patriots, the Democratic party and the Red Sox. In the last two months, almost all we’ve talked … Continue reading

My son’s favorite song is Katie Perry’s “Firework.” Every time it comes on the radio, on the rare occasions I’m not forced to listen to the Laurie Berkner playlist on my ipod, he goes crazy in the backseat, pumping his … Continue reading

When my daughter was 4, she suffered from terrible ear infections. The poor girl had 11 ear infections in 9 months before we finally got her tubes. The tubes have been great, and she hasn’t had an ear infection in … Continue reading
